Goodbye July, Hello August
Months have a funny way of disappearing.
One minute we're dreaming of them, making all the plans; and the next we're wondering where the time went.
Before we rush into August, I wanted to take a moment to look back at the lesson July left behind. These monthly words are always a favourite on my Instagram. They are a moment to pause, reflect and appreciate where we have been. And then as we move into the new month, I have a reminder that we can carry with us. Maybe you'll find a little of yourself in these words too.
These reminders are from my book Lessons & Reminders, a collection that has resonated with readers around the world.

LESSONS FROM JULY
Sometimes we really want to rush through life. Tick the boxes, achieve the goals, turn dreams into reality, and create the evidence that proves we are worthy. But what if we can believe we are doing great things without the need to rush. Without all the endless achievements. What if we can see our greatness in the slow times, in the quieter seasons. What if the seasons where we relax a little and trust that everything will work out just fine, become the most memorable. Life is a ride and it’s not always the destination that leaves the biggest imprint on our hearts. The road we travel is where all of the magic lies.

YOUR AUGUST REMINDER
Life isn’t about feeling happy in every moment. Life is about balance. It’s about good times and hard times. It’s about mundane everyday moments. It’s about anticipation and excitement, fear and worries. Life is about the whole spectrum of emotions. Don’t beat yourself up trying to feel happy in every moment; that isn’t what life is about. Feel every emotion. Live life. Live every feeling. Live in the moment, whether joyful, sad, angry, or blissfully happy. It may not feel like a perfect life. But it is a life of adventure, of experience, and of everyday moments, just as it should be.
